About Our CEO
John Hertzberg graduated from the University of Michigan undergraduate in 1982, and from the University of Michigan Law School in 1985. After graduating, he worked as a commercial attorney in Michigan for approximately thirty years, handling business bankruptcies and litigation.
In 2014 an opportunity arose in Philadelphia to acquire the assets of a failing child care operator, so Mr. Hertzberg took the plunge, bought the assets, and commenced a turnaround effort for the failing business. After roughly six months, he managed to stabilize the operations, begin making a profit, created an accounting system where there had been none, and started a multi-year effort to renovate and rehabilitate the centers from top to bottom. At this time all five of the centers are, for all intents and purposes, brand new centers within the past few years, and the company has operated profitably every year since 2015.
