Springfield Pre-K Programs

In 2012, there were 265 kindergarten-aged children in Springfield County, Pennsylvania. Children attending our Springfield pre-k program will be introduced to basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. All skills they will need when they reach kindergarten. Some of the skills taught in pre-k include left-to-right reading progression and ordering objects based on quantity. These concepts will be taught throughout each day during circle time and during various activities taking place in our learning centers. Teachers plan activities that are interactive and often hands-on to make learning a more engaging experience. Over the course of the program, children will grow academically, socially, and emotionally. By the time they start kindergarten, they will be more than prepared to take on the next educational challenge.
